Butterflies

Created in 2004, this illustration is based on the butterfly sculptures that towered above Riverfront Park during Spokane’s 1974 World’s Fair.

Today there only stands one beautifully restored sculpture, but originally there were five color-coded butterflies to help visitors navigate their way around the Expo ’74 campus.
